Name: Darlene (Hayes) Campbell

Darlene graduated from Meade High School,attended Venus School of Cosmotologhy in Wichita, KS graduating from there in 1957. She married Jim Campbell in 1956 while attending cosmotologhy school. They lived in Wichita where they had 3 daughters, Kim(Edmond, OK), Christy(Canon, City CO), and Jamie(Overland Park, KS)

In 1969 they adopted a son James Todd(Penrose, CO). In 1971 when her father, Kenneth, died they returned to the farm at Meade. A year later they purchashed the floor covering store in Meade. When they sold that they moved to Dodge City where her husband was in the custom cabinet buisness. Jim and Darlene divorced in 1978.

Darlene moved to Canon, City, CO in 1982, where she bought a liquor store and she operated that for 12 years. When she sold that she opened a very popular sandwich shop which later became a full line resturant and bar. She married Dennis Harding in 1992 and they operated the resturant for 9 years until his death in 2003. She has been sem-retired since, enjoying her family of 4 childern, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren,

Her hobbies are gardening, reading, oil painting, and enjoying her home. She has had some heart problems but has recovered in great shape!!
