Name: H. Lawrence Mein, Jr

PAMPA, TEXAS - H. Lawrence Mein Jr., 62, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Mein was born in Meade, Kan., and moved to Pampa in 1979. He graduated from Meade High School and began working for Rock Island Railroad in 1956. He started working for Halliburton Services in 1978 and in 1986 worked for Phillips Petroleum Co., retiring in 1987.

He married Beverly Rogers in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Larry Mein and Gerald Mein, both of Herington, Kan., Allen Mein of Ohio, John Griffin of Pampa, and David Rogers Jr. of Dallas; a daughter, Lorie Robledo of Brownwood; his mother, Iva Mein of Dodge City, Kan.; a sister, Delila Mein of Meade; two brothers, Edward Mein of Montrose, Colo., and William Mein of Liberal, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Panhandle Transit of Pampa or the University Medical Center of Lubbock, Organ Transplant Department. They will be at 1000 S. Wilcox in Pampa.
